Winter is coming – and while that might mean frigid temperatures, it also means plenty of fun holiday activities. Here are some December events you can go to in and around Danbury.
Light the Lights! – December 2nd
Start December off right. The event is led by Danbury’s mayor, who counts down to the lighting of the Christmas tree. Somebody else who makes an appearance? Santa. Plus, there’s plenty of carols, hot chocolate, and Christmas cookies.
Snowkus Pocus at Ridgefield Playhouse – December 9th
This family-friendly show at one of the area’s best theatres features a winter-themed adventure story – told by dance. You’ll be amazing as your favorite winter fairy tale creatures perform amazing jazz routines and spectacular acrobatics.
Wrapping for Housatonic Habitat – All Month Long
At the Danbury Fair Mall, the Housatonic Habitat for the Humanity group will need volunteers to help them wrap donations they are giving away. This is a fun activity for the whole family that can put your wrapping skills to use all while giving back to the community.
Wreck the Halls at Ridgefield Theater Barn – Weekends in December
Go out to Ridgefield to enjoy a holiday-themed show – one that’s sure to make you laugh. It’s the perfect night out from the family, since this show is a musical revue that puts a slightly funnier (more adult) spin on classic Christmas and winter songs.
Even though the weather’s cold, you’ll still want to get out and enjoy the community.
