Buick has been quite busy these last few years. Their lineup is as robust and appealing as it has ever been. Whether you are talking about the Encore, the LaCrosse, or the Regal, there’s plenty of luxury and performance to be found. Buick has created quite a niche for itself. And you can see this engineering and design prowess in their most recent Buick concept cars: the Buick Avenir and Buick Avista.
The Buick Avenir is a sleek sedan with a distinct performance edge. Its 2 + 2 interior layout, simplified cockpit controls, powerful V6 engine, and 21-inch wheels lend the Avenir a very palpably futuristic design. The Buick Avista is a fantastic coupe with broad flowing lines and an all-new Buick grille and nose design. The Avista features a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that sends power to the rear wheels.
Will these Buick concept cars be going to production anytime soon? It doesn’t look like it. Buick chief marketer Tony DiSalle recently spoke with Ward’s Auto and said of the Avista, “It was purely a concept and meant to generate some buzz.” What about the Avenir? Neither had it got the greenlight but its front-end styling “will be on all our vehicles over the next two years.” Learn more at Vail Auto Buick GMC of Bedford Hills, NY.
